Vikas Rathi, 32, is amongst the first few Indian authors who have explored the genre of Existentialism. Born in a middle class family at Jaipur, a Chartered Accountant and an IIM Bangalore graduate, Vikas oscillated between philosophical literature (by Dostoevsky and Albert Camus) and obscure humour (such as Hitch Hikers guide to the galaxy, Catch-22, Dilbert and Calvin & Hobbes). This was perhaps the foundation of his unique style of writing that fuses the trivial and the profound with underlying dark humor. He currently lives in Singapore.
